AMP² Innovation focuses on the health needs of Africa and the African diaspora, with emphasis on mental health, maternal and child health, oncology, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and public health innovation.
While our roots are in Africa, our work extends to underserved communities in the UK, United States, and across the global diaspora — wherever systems fail to serve the people within them.
We address structural and systemic barriers to care by advancing early intervention models, data equity, lived experience leadership, and community-led research across the continuum of prevention, diagnosis, and care.
AMP² designs and implements research-driven, community-led programmes that bridge clinical research, health systems, and lived experience — creating solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and grounded in the realities of those they serve.
About the Name
The AMP² name reflects our original scientific focus:
Advancing Models for Prediction & Prevention — a foundation we continue to build on through inclusive, community-driven health innovation.
From risk modelling in mental health to early intervention frameworks in maternal care and AMR, AMP² brings together prediction, prevention, and lived experience to redesign systems that work for everyone.
Collaborating Across Borders
We co-create with partners through the ACREDA network, advancing data equity, shared learning, and local ownership of innovation across the UK, Africa, the Caribbean, the United States, and the wider African diaspora.
